After longing to visit Iceland for several years, I finally made it happen in March of 2018. Here were my favorite things to see and do from my week in Reykjavik and the surrounding area.

Even though I live in a mid-sized city, I feel right at home in a much larger one. At least a couple times a year I make it my mission to spend some time in a big, diverse city, and Toronto fits the bill perfectly. It’s larger than I initially thought, as it’s actually the 4th largest city in North America, after Mexico City, New York City, and L.A. Toronto is also a truly international city. I spent two of my favorite years of my life in Austin, Texas. Though writing this post makes me miss it terribly, I’m also quite happy in my current location and I’m assured by my Austin-ite friends that the city isn’t as cool as it used to be.
